I can't leave the house without inducing severe anxiety and panic attacks. Yesterday, I went out to lunch with my parents and I kept thinking I was gonna have a stroke/heart attack, heart started going super fast and hands were shaking a bit.

It was never like this before. This all happened after an incident where I took medications my doctor instructed me to take. Ever since then I have had a list of insane issues.

I hate that I'm like this. I wanna get better but I might be fucked up for good.

as in, you think it was induced by the meds?

Yes. I don't take meds anymore. But everything changed that night when I took them, I had to go to the ER.

nah you just need gentle exposure. gradually. you rotted away for too long in your own four walls so now it all seems so insurmountable. you'll manage. be kind with yourself, it's gonna take a bit.

i was inside for a very long time and had a hard time going out. got much better when i found a job and just started working the least amount of hours possible.

go on walks and stuff. places where you might see people but mostly not. i imagine part of the anxiety-inducement will be because of all the people and a sense of expectation or your threat analysis going crazy

Thanks :) yeah that's kinda what I wanna do. This whole time I've just been sitting here because I just see it as a losing battle.

damn this just makes me never want to take meds holy shit. sorry you gotta deal with this anon, but dont give up. healing from this kind of problems takes time, and its done in small steps. dont need to go out and do crazy stuff, just a short walk of 5-10 minutes a day is good enough, then you can go further with time. you got this!

>haha here take these drugs that alter your brain permanently to kinda make you feel less bad for now but worse forever, might be cool idk
>ok guy that asked chatgpt his test answers for his 'degree', I will blindly comply

Honestly I don't know if anything can really fix you, but if there is one thing that may reverse your new bonus brain damage it's fasting. If you're serious, dry fasting. You can find basic guides on dryfastingclub.com

If you're too lazy just die or something I guess

Yup. I really regret it, cause I got a full list of other problems which included:

-high blood pressure
-lightheadedness/dizzyness, feels like someone is squeezing my head
-Extreme anxiety
-Tachycardia
and total insomnia

if I'm being honest, insomnia is the main problem aside from anxiety. Sometimes my brain will just decide sleeping is overrated and I'll get almost no sleep in weeks (6-8+ days straight of being awake)

A lot of these issues are either gone or very much improved, the ones that have stayed are the anxiety and insomnia.

oh that must be awful anon. insomnia is terrible yeah, i can relate. been having it since i was a teen. i dunno how you manage to survive that long without sleep honestly it seems horrible. have you tried sleeping pills yet? its possible that most of the other problems also stem from your lack of sleep, so if you manage to fix that, perhaps you'll get rid of other stuff too at the same time. about the anxiety well... i dunno, it hinders me a lot too so yeah fucking sucks. do your best anon!

Yeah I went to outpatient for a while and they gave me sleep meds. when my brain gets like this nothing seems to work lol. The funny thing is a lot of times I won't even get tired, so even though I'm up for days I'll never feel "sleepy"
It has been a bit better now, but I still have phases where I barely sleep. It sucks lol
