X (Twitter) is awful, I've made 2061 posts and have only 175 followers. Why do social media algorithms give all the discoverability to the top 0.01%?

It's LITERALLY impossible to grow organically on social media. You either pay for advertising or you get boosted by someone already famous on the platform.
