Any point in trying college if I spent the whole high school high/drunk? I would never dedicate much time to studying in elementary/middle school. This combined with my drug use and shitty lifestyle makes me believe I would need to spend YEARS just catching up to prepare my brain for college. I heard about some homeless meth addict who managed to get a degree in CS but Im not that guy. I also have absolutely no energy and motivation to carry even more burden.

im in the same boat except for the drug addiction, im a 21yr old brainlet and still haven't managed to get into college, i constantly see my peers living their best adult life, already graduated or enrolled again to get their masters degree, most of them are in relationships some with their hs sweethearts, living together, making money, basically the perfect fucking life, it sucks and it makes me want to blow my brains every time i see that.

still i keep trying and have been using khan academy to learn basic math since the beginning of this year, it has definetly worked and im much better at math than i was before but i still have a long way to go, i've also been reading the book "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python" to learn some coding and hopefuly start studying CS next year at college.
one thing i can say anon is you're not alone in feeling like this and in 5 years you're either going to keep being the same brainlet loser or you'll be an old brainlet loser but also in college it's all up to you and if i can make progress so can you (i didn't even remember how to add or subtract on paper when i started learning basic math this year)
