his IQ is fake, he did well on hobbyist IQ tests that were put out by various clubs and zines in the 80s which you could study for. it's somewhat impressive but not as "real" an IQ score as someone like terence tao who's clearly way ahead of everyone else in a tangible way, as opposed to just a 99th percentile guy who threw himself into a hobby scene where you could distinguish yourself. it's like being #1 in the world at a video game basically.
