While not technically suicide, tarsiers, particularly in captivity, are known to exhibit self-destructive behaviors when stressed, often leading to their death. They are extremely sensitive to stress caused by captivity, such as bright lights, loud noises, and physical contact, and will sometimes repeatedly strike their heads against cage bars or walls. This behavior, driven by the thinness of their skull, can be fatal.
