Men and women are not trick into anything, they want something and it's different for both. Men have the means to do a lot on their own, as such they want networks and family to enhance the meaning of what they can do. Women are much weaker and as such want some sense of safety and security above all.
Now the men and women that get this young, sort things out and hook up and you almost never see them again because they are living their happily ever after, but the remaining 70%(ish) are falling apart because they either don't understand these ideas and get lost in projections of what they think is going on or worse have attachment disorders that just ensure self destruction.
