I just did the final line of my life, god willing. I'm quitting heroin starting now. If I don't know I know I'll end up evolving to zenes and brorphine analogs which will be the end of me. I have enough SR-17018 to do a 10 day taper starting at 100mg SR-17018 every 8 hours and reducing each dose by 10mg each day until I reach zero. I have 4g SR-17018 total so I alao have a little wiggle room if need be, but I believe 100mg is pretty much the ceiling effect anyway. This was successful for me in the past with less potent opioids on a few occasions, but this gram a day of heroin habit is a different beast, so I'm nervous but I'm determined. If I fail I'll wait until having more comfort meds before trying again, because all I have other than the SR-17018 right now is 60mg total diazepam, and if I fail after that, I'll livestream my death. I wish to be free of this. Wish me luck robots.

Well good for you anon. I don't even understand how people start doing things like heroin in the first place, I mean like logistically. Like where do you even get it? How are you introduced to the idea and have it flower into an actual addiction?

for real though, good luck man, honestly in my opinion withdrawal is always worse in your head than it is in reality
and the sr is immensely helpful, ive also had success from it, i got off of rc opioids (odsmt/2map) with it last year, i think youll be alright
people here will probably just call you a junkie etc, but im rooting for you anon :)

Literally just imagine a world where there's people at your high-school selling heroine and acting like its a normal thing.
These places sadly exist even though its unimaginable for most.

cant speak for op's reasons but once you have access, its so easy for it to spiral like that if you have an addictive personality or certain genetics
and access is easy all you need is to be able to receive mail, if i wanted i could order a gram of a superagonist strong enough to kill 5000 people for under 200 dollars and have it here in 5 days or less

goo luck homie, it's not going to be easy
I made friends with a guy at a former job who was an ex-con and a former user, he was doing well and had his life on track, was going to school to get his MBA, sober, only a year from graduating. Unfortunately he was codependent on a bpdemon hoe who did all the usual shit to him. I always listened to him vent to me and urged him to kick her to the curb so many times but he always went back to her. I left that job and went through some hard times and when I finally hit him up I found out that he had died of an overdose only a couple of days before. I just know that cunt gf of his was a factor in him using again, he as much as said that the stress of dating her made him want to use.
Anyhow, don't let your guard down is what I'm trying to say.

>where do you even get it
It's like >>81966191 said, I'm surprised more people don't realize that, everybody knows of Silk Road, but perhaps most people didn't realize that was just what opened Pandora's box.
>how are you even introduced to the idea?
If you've ever been curious enough to look up how heroin feels, or even forced to watch a PSA in school, all the ex-addicts say something along the lines of it's so good and tbat's why it's so dangerous, it feels like a warm blanket and makes everything fine. For most that's a deterrent, but if you get to rock bottom, whether you're suicidal and or can't imagine ever feeling joy again because it has been so long, both of which are my case, it feels like you have nothing to lose, only something to gain.
>flower into an actual addiction?
Some people get both strongly mentally and physically addicted. I'm lucky enough to not be mentally addicted too strongly, but physical addiction is the trap that fucks most people. Most people get sick of it at some point, but physical addiction sets in so goddamn fast. Before you know it if you don't take it every certain amount of time, you start to feel dizzier than if you had 7 shots, and your pupils look like you took a bite out of a brick of molly, along with the plethora of other shit, at least when it fully kicks in.

I never was offered it, I just did it myself. This might be a hot take but I think if you don't have underlying issues you can be offered it and try it and be alright. Thing is most times people are first offered it when they started on a weaker opioid that they can't get, and they got hooked on that weaker opioid in the first place because of physical and or mental pain. Most people aren't just completely sober and end up in situations where they are offered heroin.

it bothers me when people don't have any understanding for this feeling
you're doing the best thing for yourself trying to get off, especially if youre american, i lost my best friend from it, even if your tolerance is high you just never know
best wishes

I don't think kratom would touch my wds at this point, but if the SR-17018 taper plan fails I could try, or try using both in tandem, but I'd prefer to keep needing some other opioid agonist even a partial one for maintenance as a very last resort.
