The ideal would be to have a happy family. But that sort of thing is rare, there's no point if all it does is make you miserable. Why have a family if it's just going to end up horribly for everyone? You need to at least have some standards for what you want out of that sort of life.

Being in a relationship you'll still be alone as a man, so the only solution I have found to quench that feeling is to accept it and to enjoy what you are and where you are. Trying to make your community a better place, being kind to people you interact with, and so on also helps
