The reason men desire romance, love and affection while women do not, is because women already get that fulfillment from their female friends. The only thing they can't get from them, although some do, is sex, and that's why women only care about one thing. I'm not gay, but why is it frowned upon to hug or cuddle your male friends? Roasties should be burned at the stake. This is a very important issue in society and I'd like to bring in as many people as I can to discuss it. My comment about the pressure was an attempt for the women that browse here to re-think their views and understand why we put so much pressure on them in romantic relationships. You're right. Pressure is not the right word, although it's what they use. There are countless of reports of men who feel unloved in relationships with a woman. How they barely get hugged, kissed or initiate intimacy. There was 80% of men who wanted their partner to simply touch their arm every once in a while. This is the part that women don't understand about male loneliness. It's not as simple as just finding friends. Obviously not in every instance but male friendships are generally unfulfilling and shallow. So unless you happen to have good family, a romantic relationship is your only real possible source of intimacy and emotional fulfillment. Shit sucks
