Why can't they cure mental illness?
>>82048518 (OP)They can still be treated. Treatment won't always work but it can work.
>>82048518 (OP)Why would they
Think about all the jobs and money you give up by fixing people
>big pharma>therapists>psychs>everyone you effect with your bullshit crazinessIt's bad for business
>>82049215Yes. Definitely do not confront your childhood abusers in a dark ally. That would make a lot of ppl poor
>>82048518 (OP)what's her disorder? A lot of trauma-related psychological disorders can't be cured due to how they permanently effect the brain.

>>82049312>Asian AmericanShe's just Japanese living in America.
>>82048518 (OP)There are some really batshit insane people who think that's bigotry. I shit you not. The idea of "curing" mental disorders. They're completely opposed to it and they think the world should adapt to better suit the special needs of people with disorders. You guessed right, they're on reddit.
>>82048518 (OP)Because it's not an illness.
It's just that your personality isn't one that's seen as useful in modern society.
They can't cure that any more than they can cure you being you. But on some level they realize how fucked up it is to hate you for not being the very specific type of person (narcissistic socialites) the modern world is built around so they claim you're 'sick' to make it more palatable.
>>82049716she's too pretty for them
>>82048518 (OP)she looks like a stick version of a crush I had
>>82048518 (OP)They have to be able to. For me I just get depressed from being alone and do nothing
>>82049685That's quite true. Even in academia, research in this area faces many extra barriers and gatekeeping. If any results go against certain groups, you could even lose your job or position.
>>82048518 (OP)>Why can't they cure mental illness?Because mental illness isn't real
>>82049215According to this "logic", surgeries wouldn't exist
>>82048518 (OP)Its quite possible with things like dihexa, NSI-189 or 9-ME-BC, brain supportive life style and etc but big pharma doesnt wants you to do that.
Tho, we still dont know about possible side effects or long term problems. There is very little research about these things due to obivous reasons.
>>82051782Anyone telling you "hurr durr they don't find cures to stuff because big pharma wants to keep making money lmao" has not looked at the share price for companies that develop breakthrough treatments and put them on the market.
The companies that develop a definitive cure for Alzheimers, lung cancer or depression would immediately become the most valuable companies in the world.
>>82048518 (OP)I'm sorry but there is no cure to being a woman so...
>>82048518 (OP)because mental illness isn't real for 1 and for 2 most "mental illness" is just being a woman
-We dont understand human brains enough.
-Psychotherapy is extremely primitive, its like prescribing leeches as treatment. Basically try a bunch of "treatments" see if it improves. (not if it fixes.)
-Besides, it might be completely flawed to begin with. When you are hungry, you dont go: "Jeez, there is a chemical imbalance in my brain, i should take something so i dont FEEL hungry anymore." No, you just eat something. The feeling is not the cause. Being hungry didnt make you mentally ill.
>>82048518 (OP)>have an attractive body>pay someone to draw shit on it in irremovable inkWomen with tattoos are gross. The navel piercing is hot though.
>>82051782>>82052195Surgeries are huge money, and it's easy to tell when they don't work
they can also fuck something else up inside you or prescribe you pills for months after
>>82050178This is what mentally ill schizos believe. No, your brain is fucked and we need to bring back insane asylums. The fact you walk around unchecked and are allowed on the internet is awful.
>>82052195>they don't find cures to stuff because big pharma wants to keep making moneyI'm pretty sure there was a Goldman Sachs executive who asked something pretty similar to this
"Is curing patients a sustainable business model?"
The answer was no
