Do you plan on living in the US for your entire life? I'm going to be honest, I increasingly don't see the point. Once upon a time you could tell yourself it's worth it because you are surrounded by friendly white people and hot skinny blondes but we all know how that has gone.

I've reframed the American dream for myself. Take advantage of US resources, get a degree because you're fucking dead in the water without one, and save money until you can go somewhere that the economic condition favors traditional marriage. took me some time to figure it out, but i've accepted that my life really would be infinitely better if i went to the philippines when i have some money. you have to be top 5% to achieve what was given to today's barely existent upper-middle class.
