My mom told me that this Friday we are going out to dinner. That is not a problem on its own, but we are going with a friend of my mom's, plus her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend. The daughter is a Stacy, and I have not met the boyfriend ever, but he is in medical school, so I am obviously going to be the odd one out as an ugly NEET. I think my mom is doing this because she wants me to feel bad How can I get out of going to this dinner? Maybe if I drank ipecac on Friday to get sick?

I can't really go against my mom. It would upset the balance of things if I went against what she told me to do, and I live in my parents' house still, so it's best to just go along with it because they are doing quite a favor for me by letting me stay here.
