Likely all the insanity that came before it. Trumps power came from nearly picking the highest supporting side of most 80/20 polling meaning he was supporting what the masses wanted. It's a major reason the Dems are still drowning in spite of all this scandal. In short marching the drums of supporting child mutilation and demanding you let men into women's sport open the flood gates for anyone else to seize power. They got a shot to turn it around in 2021 but everything that happen after the vax and hiding Biden's decline ensured they have quite an uphill battle to ever get power again. America might be much closer to new parties being born than the big two staying around.
