Anime, social media and video games haven't really fried expectations, they have however stunted the social development and emotional intelligence for a huge proportion of zoomers and a not insignificant amount of millennials. Throw in smartphone-induced anxiety, metoo, and social media polarising people (your parents would never have talked about politics when dating) and you get that 45% easy.
Dating apps and to a lesser extent porn have 100% fried expectations. The top 5-10% of men have fucked women into thinking they can land a Chad, when in reality they were being treated like takeout because they were 15-20 mins away, despite being a 4-5/10. Porn warps expectations on both sides, but it has done nowhere near the damage of dating apps.
