They only get to live there because they're self employed and got enough money to support themselves. Meanwhile, I've loved Japanese culture since I was a kid, starting with anime and moving on to other aspects of it as I grew older. I'm trying to learn the language again, even though I got nobody to speak it with. I don't even qualify for an English teacher slave visa because I don't have a degree, nor am I a native English speaker. Lack of studying, too much drinking. When covid his in 2020 I was pretty much home all day every day so I stopped studying because there was no need for me to study.
Got to WFH until start of this year, so I didn't bother studying again until a few months ago. Kind of ended up with a alcohol problem.
