/v/ is full of shills and indians, /vrpg/ is a ghost town. Post some hidden gem RPGs. This is Stoneshard, a tile-based open-world roguelite that's still in early access but has a decent amount of content.

If you don't like the asking price of $25 it's on GOG so if you know you know. Just don't tell me to buy an ad.

This is made by the same dude/s that did the last spell, isn't it? They didn't even bother to change the UI.
Sell me on it. What does it do that every other RPG I've ever played didn't? What does it do well and why?

Dude they obviously know how to shut down the torrent sites. If its free you are the product. How does it take your money? Maybe you should read one of the books they wrote.

no.

your mileage may vary but i like how difficult it is. after dying a couple of times you never really feel safe anywhere outside of a village or town. you're never treated like the chosen one so even a single highwayman is very much a threat even later on. the enemies don't scale with you so there's some sense of progression but you can still die easily if you let your guard down after like 4 or 5 level ups and gear upgrades. people dislike the gear maintenance aspect but i like it. i also like the art is obviously very charming and meticulous, perhaps to a fault.

Silver (1999). I found out about it on /vr/ not too long ago. It's more of an adventure game with an rpg coat of paint but it's oozing with atmosphere and still has some rpg hallmarks. I'd recommend playing it on a dreamcast emulator but it's been rereleased on PC and i'm told it runs pretty good.

can i call troika's temple of elemental evil a hidden gem without the permanent virgin rpg council sending a hitman after me?
