As the years go by, I get increasingly surprised at how things get worse. I will think, "surely it can't get much worse than this". Fast forward a year or two and I will be shocked at how much further I've fallen into darkness. Not even talking about substance abuse, but just the overall trajectory of my life. Specifically, my inability to improve my circumstances no matter how many times I approach the situation from a different angle. No matter how hard I worked, no matter what I tried, it always ended bad.

It's because you're too forgiving. What things have ever been "bad?" Do you boycott the companies making those things bad, or do you still mindlessly continue to do business as usual and give economic power to the people that you hate?
