the exaggerated proportions make it look way too busy for how simple it is, since detail is hyper-concentrated in the relatively tiny torso and face. it's hard to make out much of anything in the mess of his pencil-neck, stubble, eyepatch, eyebag, mouth, and earring.
the way his body is shaped draws the eye towards the shoes and away from the upper body, which is like the opposite of what you want. the posing being very awkward and hard to read doesn't help with this.
that said, the outfit and hairstyle and everything are all conceptually good, the color palette is nice, and it has personality, it just needs to be rendered in a more coherent form. 6/10

it's interesting to me that alfred seems to be the fan favorite when i always thought he was kind of boring
he could have been a great character but skr*ll never developed him enough to be more than just a good design

when the pain is
