some 8 years ago i was posting on r9k about how impossible it was to find a job. anons tried to argue it was my failt. seriously doesnt feel like we left the 2019 abyss

I got a forklift license and took the warehousing pill for now. I'm slow because I get anxious af when driving but they won't fire me because I come in every day.

Jeets are in our machine shops now. Fuck I thought this was to hard for them. Or we getting alot of lathe incidents?

I tried getting a job as an over night baker and there were like 20 people sitting in interview room.

Not for most. Most boomers learned as they went. Now, unless you are a jeet willing to work like a slave, you got to gave 4 years post high school technical training, 2 years of unpaid interships (and buy 5 houses on no income during that time) and working there as your third unpaid internship, then it's not happening.

is it actually hard finding a job for you guys? i was unemployed for 1 year n a half and when i actually started applying and trying to get a job i got one pretty quick. i got a interview and they hired me, maybe because its entree level and they would hire anybody but its still a job thankfully

literally just building maintenance/grounds/facilities jobs. absolute grunt work that i have extensive experience in, apartment complexes and office buildings and shit. i can't imagine how bad it is for people with actual valuable skills.
