the "biden's economy sucked" thing is a complete meme, there was a global inflation and the US under biden handled it *significantly* better than the rest of the world. europe, canada had far worse economic downturn in contrast to Biden actually sorta holding it down. biden didn't come into office and hit a big red "INFLATION" button in his desk

So when the economy sucks in 2021 it is Trumps fault even though Biden is president, but the economy sucks in 2025 because of Trump and not because Biden? Shouldn't the economy sucking in 2025 be Biden's fault by the same logic the economys performance in 2021 was Trumps?

The difference is that Trump isnt dealing with a world wide pandemic that shut down world wide commerce for 6 months and the shortages in resources in the following years. The entire world economy was suffering in 2020-2023, it wasnt exclusive to the US.

Trump is fucking up the US economy all on his own.

Inflation is largely out of the presidents hands and a response to market forces taking place in the world. Even in your graph it shows inflation rising under Trump and eventually going down under Biden. Because we don't have a crystal ball we can't compare how inflation would have been under Trump during the same time period.

We can however directly observe American businesses going bankrupt in real time due to Trumps Tariffs which are something he has direct control of and responsibility for. So it's going to be a bit harder than usual when you faggots need to whip out the old "Blame the Dems" card when the economy tanks due again to Trumps Tarrifs which were unconstitutionally applied by a Republican dominated government that has essentially rubber stamped every gross overreach of federal government authority happening under Trump.

But he was. He was president from January of 2020 when the crisis really started, and in March when it came to a head. He was president up until January 20th of the following year. And during that year Trump was dealing with the crisis not only was there low inflation, there was price declines on things like Apparel, Vehicles, or the price of gasoline. Donald Trump filled the Strategic Petroleum reserve. Joe Biden drained it
There's a reason it is Mike Pence behind Fauci and not Kamala Harris

also the source is in the image, the Congressional Budget Office. it did a lot more than just cut taxes for the rich. to afford it we had to massively slash benefits for the poor.

The original pie chart makes no fucking sense in reality.

the top 1% pay 40%. The top 50(including the 1%) pay 97%. So what exactly was that pie chart attempting to prove? That rich people do in fact pay for the majority of our country?

Because that is the reality.

What percentage of income tax was paid by the bottom 10%?

The facts of the matter being that debt pays for the majority of our government but that also the rich pay for the majority of collected taxes?

You do realize that America has a progressive tax already? Its only logical that the rich pay far more in taxes.

That wasn't a moral argument, I believe in a flat tax rate. It was just an observable fact that you're trying to pretend isn't real. The concept that the rich aren't currently paying more in taxes than the collective poor.

Objectively a flat tax rate would be simple and eliminate tax loop holes. its really that easy.

I think we need an anti rich people movement that somehow is not divisive and pretty much everyone agrees on. Honestly I think there needs to be some serious quasi revolutionary movements and worker strikes. I give it less than 10 years for robot police at that point the plebs are fucked with the current political oligarchy system and concentration of wealth. There needs to be a movement for some kind of direct democracy or even power over the police/military democratically very strange times indeed. I just dont see how people will be able to rebel once the tech is sufficiently advanced. There is a small window now for change and if it closes the world is done for
