I work in a hospital and our emergency room gets plenty of suicide attempts, both men and women. Drug overdoses are sooooooooooo common; these dumb fucks swallow a fistful of whatever pill they have and think it will kill them lmao. Don't realize that unless it's something powerful and you mix it with tons of hard liquor then you'll probably be fine. I assume we miss plenty of male suicides that involve guns or ropes because they go straight to the morgue instead of the operating room.

The disturbing part is that it's overwhelmingly young people, like aged 18-30. The prime suicide demographic used to be men aged 45-60 but now it seems young folk have their own special misery.
