I own a small business. I dont 9-5, I regularly do 60+ and every few months Im stuck at 3am working because thats what you sign up for. There are benefits to being your own employer, but up until the business is going strong you work more and get paid less and you dont have the ability to pay yourself market rate for what you do because its too expensive.

The grass is greener because people see do nothing "influencers" and think its easy.

I dunno why neets keep coping with those weird asspull notions of work environment.
I shitpost and drink tea like 80% of the time at work. Now frankly I would prefer to be outside having a picnic on the flower field but in my shit land it's not happening irregardless of my free time.
My colleagues are nice and don't bother me.
And my boss adapts to all my special requests.

Waking up early is honestly the only real ever-present downside to working, I am not cut for this shit at all. Considering everything else if your work sucks, just save up and leave and rotate this principle in the method of work 4 months a year - > live off savings for 8 months.

I work 60 hours a week with 3 hour commute each day. I get like 1 hour of free time by the time I get home after going to the gym after work. My only day off is spent doing the chores I didnt have time for and cooking for the next week. I like what I do and the people there plus I get paid really well for my age. Definitely sucks but I have pretty low willpower and if I wasnt working id be rotting in bed or gaming. Having fun sure, but this is definitely more fulfilling for me. Wish I worked less hours and had less commute

Because in my line of work the location of where I'm working changes every year or every few months. No sense in moving for just one of the many jobs I'll have, I'm a contractor. Plus while I could afford more expensive places near the city, I like having the extra money for emergencies and such.
