Every construction job requires years of experience & usually a degree. I just want to work god dammit, but I don't want to spend 3 years in a trade school for this.
>>82173697 (OP) >a year of experience >a degree the fuck are you applying to? a bridge engineer at collins?!? you dont even need a osha 40 to start out as a carpenter these days
>>82173697 (OP) just get a "construction laborer" job and work with the beaners, chinks, and jeets that don't know english

>>82173734 Bro probably wants to get hired installing live breaker panels with zero experience or training and is mad employers dont want him to die or burn a house down.
>>82173697 (OP) >construction You "apply" for those by hanging out in a Home Depot parking lot with the Mexicans. Make sure you have three forms of photo ID on you so ICE doesn't deport your ass.
>>82173774 you need to relocate to a city with a known construction contractor. the chew up and spit out people all the time but you'll get paid. they will train you too. work there for a year and return to your hometown or whatever that's just ridiculous

>>82173697 (OP) This is literally not true. It may be more competitive in your hometown like other anons have said but a lot of the times traveling gigs will pay more and require less (if anything at all). Do a traveling/FIFO job for a year or two, make bank and get experience.

>>82173697 (OP) I'm jealous of people with family connections. My parents have been unemployed since I was 8.
>>82174123 Its a weird case. My brother is unthinkably deformed and charities basically financed our entire life. There wasn't much left over after paying to keep him alive so we lived like shit but nonetheless DID barely make rent.
