Mine is a dead even 5" long. Maaaybe 5-1/8" if bone pressed really hard and I squint a little bit when reading the ruler. I have seen many reporting lengths of less than 7", in fact there are fewer reports of 7 or bigger than less than 7". Kind of makes bone pressed seem pointless to specify though if at most I only get 1/8" difference.
