>Having a child as an "investment"
Why the FUCK do so many folks think like this?
YOU'RE BRINGING LIFE INTO THIS WORLD
YOUR CHILD ISN'T SOME TOOL YOU CAN JUST TELL THEM TO DO WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT

I'M SO FUCKING SICK OF THIS SHIT

You are basing your views on the false premise that humans aren't animals. We are.

Well at least if you think of a child as an investment you will put some effort into raising him/her to not be a fuckwit.

I feel like this only works if the parental figures themselves have a job/trade that they want to pass on to the child
>Grandad's a blacksmith
>Dad's a blacksmith
>Son? Blacksmith, naturally
but this framework just doesn't work anymore in today's world

This was true like 60 years ago when they need as many people as possible to work the fields.

Yes, this is what life does. Life is just semistable self-perpetuating patterns. You're overthinking it.

Theres genuinely not really any good "reason" to bring a child into the world, maybe a few. Pretty much any answer is cope. It sickens me tho that people will try and justify it in the most disguting selfish of ways

No, see, I dislike it, and everything I dislike is capitalism.
