This is a problem isnt it
What do you think of this artwork? Even if you dislike modern art I think this piece generates awareness, which is good.

Why call it art when it clearly isnt? Why not call it what it is, a demonstration for consumer rights?

I think activism can be a form of art too. installation art is a thing as well. I dont care too much about definitions in this case. Whatchu think of this demonstration then for consumer rights then?

It's conceptual art, design, something like that. It's art in the same way pottery, handmade furniture, or graphic design often are. The art is secondary to the purpose it functions but it's still art.

It's in no way art and could and should never be described as such. Also what is the message or point? "Giant corporations are evil and always intend to fuck you over"? Duhhhhhhh

Going to make an amazing modern art piece of a bucket of water that you stick your hand into and feel the sensation, because water is WET!! Isn't that a hot take? Where are my jewish millions

ToS and copyright and NDAs are all super corrupt and need reform.

It's garbled nonsense written in legal jargon from hundreds of years ago that regular people aren't supposed to understand by design.

>The party (hitherto referred to as the user) shall accept all responsibility implied therein except where exempt by local stipulations, barring any contradictions that arise in Appendix A when the user is found in compliance with bylaws noted in Section G-4, (see Appendix 14-9).

You aren't supposed to be able to decipher that bullshit. It's how lawyers make their money and how companies screw you when you have a problem with them.

Yep. I tried reading through the Blizzard EULA and ToS when i was 13 and gotnworld of warcraft. That shit refers to appendices within itself recursively up to a depth of 5. "refer to appendix 13.1A" then there islt says "refer to clause 6 in the general agreement terms" then there it says "refer to appendix 9.5C" etc etc. And all this was inside of a tiny ass window you can navigate only by clicking the scroll bar inside the videogame client with a bigass dragon flying around and a giant red "I AGREE" button at the bottom. It's as possible to read to a consumer as chiseling stone with a toothpick is. It will take you days, weeks.

Maybe they could seperate out all those words on to seperate pieces of paper and attach them all together with some sort of binding? Then all the words can be in one place while also being convenient to carry, read, and store. With this invention it would be easy for anyone to read all the terms of service of any legal agreement they enter into with a company. What should this new invention be called?

This is what ive been saying all this time. Companies should be required to send booklets with their ToS and EULAs when they obtain their product. Because it's basically impossible to coherently read that amount of text from a tiny ass scrollable text box.

Wait...people don't read the ToS's?
