One of the consequences of higher intelligence is an increase in sensitivity. Your sense organs and the brain are all part of the same nervous system so more intelligent people will enjoy experiences that are more subtle and complex and groups of intelligent people will establish rules to keep things like loud noises and strong smells away from public spaces. When you see someone acting rudely like that they and their environment probably are genuinely just too stupid to understand why you might have a problem with their behavior.
