There's a app for modded 3ds called NetPass, that basicly spoofs the streetpass process over the internet, so you can get streetpasses that way from other people who are in the same virtual spot as you

I miss streetpass. I think Apple and Google should implement some sort of streetpass-like system into later visions of iOS and Android. It'd be fun.

I still have my 3DS around here somewhere. Wonder if it still turns on. Last time I turned it on was 2019 and the 3D slider was malfunctioning. Very unfortunate since I learned that that's unfixable.

It would be fun but security and public perception take precedent. Airdrop was fun while it lasted, but people complained about harassing images being sent, and now it's turned off by default. You can't even turn it for more than 10 minutes, completely neutered.
