I ask this in the most sincere way possible. What is it with black people and allowing the chirp in smoke alarms in videos online? I don't even hate them for it it's just funny it's a common occurrence. I'll come across videos all the time about topics I'm interested in and it's a black persons channel and way more often than not I hear it in the background. It's actually ridiculous how common a phenomenon this is It's one that is so blatant I can't just ignore it anymore or think it's some funny coincidence. I'm a lazy as fuck person and honestly wouldn't bother with a smoke alarm if I didn't have to but if I heard that shit in my house I'd either take the battery out and forget about it or just replace it but I wouldn't just flat out ignore it. What the fuck is up with these people why do they tolerate that noise?

The chirp comes on when the battery is out but the alarm is running on wired power. It's a redundant measure to prevent fires in the event of a power outage.
