I feel like I make a new embarrassing memory, by saying something awkward or that might be taken the wrong way, basically every other interaction. I'm out of practice with socializing since school but I wonder if this is at least somewhat common.

I do this too. Anytime I find myself getting comfortable with a group of people I somehow find the cringiest, most awkward thing to say, only to realize it way after the fact.

And then I can't sleep well because I keep thinking about every time this has happened in my life.
