>>82213987 (OP) My cats are too dumb to be let outside. One of them isn't afraid of anything so he'd just stand in front of cars and get killed, the other would immediately chomp a hornet or a toxic plant and die.
>>82214000 >so they can ruin the environment Anon, you're (presumably) a human and thus part of the most destructive species this planet has ever seen. It's a bit silly to complain about other species' impact.
>>82214099 This, i dont get why he is talking about me when I dont do that in the first place.

>>82213987 (OP) Yes, they should be kept in the fields where their domestication evolved. Dogs on the other hand need to stay near humans under constant human supervision, For the same reason mentioned before, the way their domestication evolved.
>>82214000 Why don't we train them to kill invasive birds like sparrows and pigeons

>>82214166 In the sense that your personal impact on the environment is a million times worse than that of a dozen cats, so yes, it's hypocritical for you to worry about the comparatively insignificant impact of other species and points to you arguing in bad faith since you don't give a shit about the environment in the first place.

outdoor cats live significantly shorter lives, usually being poisoned by neighbors or hit by cars. id rather not spend around month being anxious wondering why one of my 3 havent come home.
>>82214248 We had 2 new neighbours with cats arrive around the same time. One doesnt let them outside, still alive, the other did and it went missing for a month. When it was found it's eye had to go. Highly irresponsible
>>82214294 yep. they really want to go outside and sometimes we let them fool around in the yard but my gigachad cat jumped up the 6 foot fence and ended up on the roof so hes not allowed out no matter what
>>82214073 Yeah. Didn't think I'd see the same kind of redditor here that posts about how their catterino needs to be outside killing all the native fauna because it's oh so cruel leaving them inside. Picrel is what should be done to outside cats like they do in New Zealand.

My cat is the neighborhood Chad, he's killed two birds and brought two mice in today alone. I just throw them in the bin.
