Oh really? I used to be friends with a discord troll named Amontilado. he would often troll people (including minorities like LGBT) but we still spent plenty of time as friends, he also hated pedophiles and even doxxed one on discord.
I also had a trans discord friend (who is like the only LGBT friend i've ever had in my life) named Funik, but he later unfriended me since we didn't spend enough time together. he was later caught grooming a minor on discord.

Similar experience for me. I knew one gay dude who was apart of this flash game clan thing I was in around the age of 14 or 15, he tried getting me to crossdress and cam for him. Blocked him, haven't heard from the dude since but that was one of my only experiences with groomers. The other one was some older woman like 23 when I was 13 who had a habit of flirting with really young boys. Creepy as fuck looking back on it. As far as indirect the only pedophile adjacent I can think of was this gay dude at my job that talked about getting a really drunk guy who "probably was in college" into a car with him and his husband when they were out of state on a vacation and said they "fooled around a lot before dropping him off". I'd call it adjacent because I got the feeling he lied about the looked college age thing, but he could just be a regular predatory type.
