Do you think most people are kind-natured? Even if they are unaware that they are. I think I believe this subconsciously and it kind of hurts to think that maybe it isn't the case.

No. Most people are pretty petty and are willing to bend the rules over small issues. I used to think most people were kind-natured until I got to know them.

But then I wonder if deep down they want to be good.. Like, who wants to feel like they've done something wrong
or hurt someone?

No.

People are inherently selfish and will do anything which they believe to be in their own interest, no matter how morally repugnant. After they have done it, they will come up with whatever post-hoc moral justification required to justify said action. Hobbes was right when he said that the natural state of mankind is a war of all against all.

I guess I also feel like you can "bend the rules" but still be considerably good at heart. I feel like most people just do what they think is best, and if they knew better, they would be kinder.

They do a global cleansing every 100 years. We are at the tail end of a global genocide. You were meant to be killed.

everyone can be kind or cruel, depending on circumstances
everyone is capable of kindness, but as for where people are naturally inclined for it, well... i wouldn't say everyone is, but most are, i imagine

The average person assumes that they are good and always feels justified in whatever they do. Deep down, they feel infallibly "good". When they hurt someone, they feel that it was the other person's fault.

Sure, but normies arent straddling that line very often. When normies are bending the rules, its because of their petty narcissistic reasons, not because theyre faced with a tough moral dilemma.

Its about money obviously. Wars make lots of money through death and pillaging.
