Losing weight is so easy just increase your fiber consumption and cut out snacks and drinks that have calories.

That's severely underweight for a man yet still fat for a woman. Pick a better goal you obese POS.

I don't get fatties who can't lose weight as if hunger is this apex of suffering
Anonymous No.82298958 [Report] >>82298987

Start off with a daily 500kcal deficit which will lose 1lb a week. Then as you adjust, increase the daily deficit so you lose 2lb a week. Then you can add in intermittent fasting to get to your goal much easier. Trying to crash-diet will lead to binging and you'll feel worse. Track weight over a weekly base because water distribution messes things up too much day-to-day. You can do it! The glamour of looking cute is better than the pangs of hunger. Looking cute is the best!

>intermittent fasting
Same dropout as other diets. I wish people would stop acting like IF is a magic bullet.
Anonymous No.82299010 [Report] >>82299048
>>82298987
It's not a magic bullet. It's calorie restriction, as is all dieting at the end of the day -- eating less than your body expends in daily energy. IF is easily to segue into once you've beaten back a lot of glucose-induced habitual cravings. You alternate a deficit of your entire daily energy expenditure with days of lower calorie intake and you shed a lot of weight.

If you're one of the people who can enter ketosis without issue, that also nukes your appetite on the same vein as stimulants like adderall.

Doing IF comes naturally to some people to be fair, unlike other most meme diets. It's worth a suggestion if it hasn't been tried.

Yes I understand how weight loss works.
>IF is easily to segue into once you've beaten back a lot of glucose-induced habitual cravings
"glucose-induced habitual cravings" are not a thing. IF has the same dropout as other diets so it is not "easy to segue into" as compared to any other diet.
>ketosis
There's very little good evidence suggesting that ketosis is a desirable state to enter.
>also nukes your appetite
And yet keto is not known to be superior to any other diet for weight loss. Virtually every health organization from the US to China to Russia push something resembling whole foods, plant based for a good reason. That's where the bulk of evidence points. Keto and IF are not superior and in all likelihood are inferior to WFPB.
Anonymous No.82299061 [Report]
>>82299014
Well sure, if keto works for you or if IF works for you then go ahead. Losing weight is more important than diet quality. Mostly I just wanted to pick a fight.

Just eat an ice cube it can supress your appetite, and if you smell some food whilst you eat the ice cube it can trick your brain into thinking you ate it.

>"glucose-induced habitual cravings" are not a thing
What is insulin perhaps?? Why do cravings exist perhaps??

>There's very little good evidence suggesting that ketosis is a desirable state to enter.
There's little evidence that it's not desirable and it exists as a body state for a reason -- ancestors weren't exactly eating shitloads of processed grain to begin with.

>Virtually every health organization from the US to China to Russia push something resembling whole foods, plant based for a good reason.
Because micronutrient and actual general health. You can be in ketosis while eating plant-based foods, you don't have to do it on eggs and bacon alone.

The hormone you're looking for is ghrelin. Insulin is not something to even think about outside of diabetes. As to appetite see e.g.,

Or insulin response lol:

>There's little evidence that it's not desirable
And no evidence that is desirable so why do it?
>ancestors weren't exactly eating shitloads of processed grain to begin with
Muh ancestral diet lol
>You can be in ketosis while eating plant-based foods
You understand that the recommendation is large quantities of whole grains and legumes neither of which will allow ketosis, yes? Not to mention that dietary fat is typically not considered good for you, especially saturated fat. Low fat diets typically outperform high fat diets on typical health metrics. See e.g.,
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4424767/
It's a good discussion on high fat diet and inflammation

Ah yes thank you for burying the lede by not mentioning that high insulin from large amounts of glucose in your diet makes your ghrelin production go whack and creates craving-based cycles of overeating, which combined with sedentary lifestyles which every one of us fat fucks haves, leads to use being overweight.

>And no evidence that is desirable so why do it?
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence (of reason to do it)

>Muh ancestral diet lol
Muh works pretty well

>You understand that the recommendation is large quantities of whole grains and legumes neither of which will allow ketosis, yes?
No because I'm not a retard that pulls out pubmed links from a notepad in 5 minutes flat. This is an argument about weight loss, not health.

>high insulin from large amounts of glucose
Unless you're eating large quantities of processed shit this doesn't matter. I'm recommending the WFPB diet not the standard american so whatever you're talking about here is besides the point. Keto is better than SAD obviously. Eating carbs is not bad for you, no one has ever gotten T2D from beans lmao. Insulin is more harmed by SFAs than carbs anyway.
>Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence (of reason to do it)
Given that the preponderance of evidence points to WFBP, why would you go with keto instead?
>No because I'm not a retard that pulls out pubmed links from a notepad in 5 minutes flat
Sorry are you not familiar with the literature at all? Maybe you should brush up on it.
>This is an argument about weight loss
Dropout rate is literally the only thing that matters for weight loss diets and all diets have the same dropout rate. IF, Keto, DASH, WFPB - all the same. At least WFPB and DASH aren't going to give them CVD 20 years down the line lol.

If hunger is an issue your two main solutions are
>eating super satiating food
>fasting

Someone pull up the average American diet

Because eating oats and beans all day sucks shit and we're talking about losing weight not being healthy

>Sorry are you not familiar with the literature at all? Maybe you should brush up on it.
Yeah I'm totally an uneducated swine because I don't have a plethora of scientific articles in a rolodex to quote online, pretentious faggot.

>Dropout rate is literally the only thing that matters for weight loss diets and all diets have the same dropout rate.
Good thing I didn't quote a diet as the go-to and rather used it as a segue option once caloric restriction has been established and in place and I quoted something that has anecdotally worked for me in the past because I don't sit and argue scientific articles online like a dweeb

>20 years down the line lol.
See if people can hold it down for 20 weeks and then start talking about health implications
