I'm 21y/o virgin who probably has autism and definitely has poor social skills. I'm into nerd shit like manga or w/e but I'm not a pervert and I'm anti-porn. I feel like it only makes sense to try and find a gf with more or less similar life circumstances and outlook but I feel like it's almost impossible. I mean by definition two people who normally don't socialize much have a very small chance of meeting or talking for very long.

I would prefer to make friends with someone first and slowly become more romantic with them but I understand a lot of girls feel that that can be kind of manipulative. At the same time being super forward when first talking to someone is creepy and weird. Can you give me some tips? What would be the ideal way to meet a boyfriend from (you)r perspective?

to be entirely realistic you would have to come across me in a really weird circumstance and then just be nice to me and talk to me a lot. there was a guy who helped me recover my account on an old mmo weeks ago now who was friendly and i ended up imagining he would offer to play with me and help me with the game, and we'd become friends and then he'd be like oh i'm so in love with you and we would date, but obviously it didn't happen he just helped me recover my password and never spoke to me again.

but the point is to find someone like this you would have to luck into an opportunity, capitalize on the opportunity, then slow burn it while maintaining some level of flirt so it doesnt feel out of nowhere.

In fact basically everything you described is pretty much what I would imagine. People who end up socially isolated in the first place usually end up that way because they don't seek out conversation for conversation's sake, which means I would need some kind of external excuse to hang around any theoretical girl for a while until we can slowly get to know each other.
Oh well, I shouldn't complain. All this is a direct consequence of the stuff I'm asking for so it can't be helped. Good thing I'm religious because I will probably need God's help

I met my boyfriend on an mmo rp game; started talking out of necessity, then out of interest in each other, then started to fall in love with each other, and then dated a year after that.

I'll give you my opinion, so this may not be something that works for you nor fits you; but I think it's better to be friends with a girl before dating.
Best place to look is somewhere where your interests are; imo it's better to look in places that are more obscure as there's less people and generally easier to get to know people, but I'm sure you can also have success in large places.
Start talking to her, and talk to her like you would a guy (but tone down the insults, especially any about appearance) and just try to be friends. While I wasn't really talking to anyone else when I met my bf, I probably wouldn't have continued talking to him if he didn't stand out especially as I just didn't really care for talking to others. What made him stand out to me was because he was able to give me some helpful info about my interest (the mmo), was very funny, and wasn't afraid to make any sort of offensive jokes (I mean like the sexist, homophobic, sexual kind, etc. kinds, not the evil sort); like saying he hates women and asks if he can see my feet which was a humor I've never faced personally, so it was new and funny to me.

I'm trying to remember how I fell for my boyfriend. His joking comments acting like a desperate simp went from me laughing at them, to making me feel flattered for the chance that maybe his words might hold some sort of truth. He would make it known to me once every blue moon that I'm important to him, and a special person to him in his life. His genuine compliments about me would turn from something you'd say to a friend, to something a bit sweeter. He'd care about me and my issues, and be there for me when I struggle, trying his best to cheer me up.

Haha he was like that too. You know what's funny? If he had stopped messaging me back one day, I'd probably leave it at that because I was a depressed faggot and thought being alone was for the best. But a few days after talking or so, before saying goodnight, he said "I've really enjoyed talking to you, can't wait for us to eventually distance ourselves from each other over the next few weeks and stop talking completely like how it always is" and it made me feel sad that he thought that, because I actually did enjoy talking to him as well; so I made it a point to never be the one to distance myself and it's been about 5 years of messaging each other every day
