Not really, they kill us here. Average age of death in Asia is higher than America. The money barely does anything, our women suck, our houses are cramped, food is still really expensive. I went to Asia already and dated a cute Vietnamese woman who turned 18 the day I got there. She slept in my hotel and showed me around, she actually studied tourism stuff lol. Same. I'm also a fellow leaf and I hate this country so much. I remember things being so much better when I was a little kid. I recently graduated and starting working as a software engineer in the GTA making 90k but also paying 2.5k in rent while my American counterparts are making 110k USD, paying much less in taxes, and obviously having cheaper rent. I've considered moving to a either an Eastern European Union country though due to how many US tech companies outsource there and maybe even a Western European Union country since my gf is from there but the US is still the best choice from a software engineer's perspective not only because of the salaries and tech scene but also ease of doing business and abundance of venture capital.

Damn. I make 95k a year in the US and after all my deductions I also make 2.4k biweekly. But I'm also maxking my 401k for matching contributions (15k year total) and have the most expensive healthcare I can get as one of my kids needs it.
Thankfully I also have my house paid off with my nuke bonus from 10 years ago and I pull in another 2k/mo in other sources so my expendable income is insane, and have little over 600k in brokerage but.....

I guess second post guy is right, its never enough. My main worry now is that sure I'm stable, but for how long? I don't like how in a normal everday job in the US it doesn't feel like you have much security and its prone to layoffs.
