Has anyone ever actually gotten into a stable, long-term relationship on /soc/? Because I've been trying on there for almost a year and every girl I've contacted has ghosted me.
Should I quit using /soc/ and go back to IRL dating?

That's because they are always first IN EVERY THREAD and are notorious for being predatory(Predatory with a big P, rasputin guy for example is creating ALL the mentally ill threads on there, the other characters just add every single person from there to either friendcollect or try and groom you) you have to be insane to actually try to find a girlfriend or even friends in general on there, it's a grooming den with admins not wanting to do anything about it

I've have added some girls from r9k in the past not soc but got ghosted every single time. From discord or other sites I had more success talking to people but it's all shallow and fleeting.
One time it worked and I met a girl of Instagram, but I got terribly burned and trolled by this bpd cunt for 1,5 years.
It's better to leave the internet for good and focus on real life. There are mostly terrible people dwelling there.
Especially 4chan, as someone else said. There are here for a reason.....

I guess you're right. /soc/ialites aren't exactly the most stable people. Hell, they have an entire recurring thread there for mentally ill people to post their Discords and meet up.
I'm sort of glad I never met up with any girls I met there because for all I know they could've been serial killers catfishing me. I only got confirmation that one was real, and I think we actually did form a connection before she ghosted me.
I'm making an active effort to stop being a shut-in, so I think over the next few months I'm going to go to a lot more social events. I'm bound to meet a girl who likes me eventually, right?

I've received positive replies on /soc/ before, but I've never responded to them. I've never even made a discord. Part of the problem is that I'm schizoid and incapable of feeling positive emotions from a relationship, and the fantasy or mere idea of a woman being interested is far more valuable than the reality of it. Still, I am suffering intensely from loneliness. At this point, only kidnapping a woman and styling myself as a psychopath to hide my inner fragility could offer me the possibility of reprieve from my touch-starvation.

I can really understand these would be kidnappers and psychos, partly because I am one... On the other hand, if you're a female interested...

I was diagnosed in an in-patient setting with a related disorder, although they said it may be two others, avoidant or Schizoid, or both.

But as a side note, I don't believe designations like schizoid or avoidant mean much. I think they're useful labels for commonly occuring abnormal patterns. They are not things in and of themselves, just commonalities in traits. I heavily dislike using the labels. I find it "cringe."
