>be me
>have some knowledge about collectibles
>watch for limited editions
>buy three of them when a good one drops
>wait a year
>go on reddit and make a post about the limited edition in the sub for that fandom
>everyone who missed the limited edition gets reminded of it
>have them listed on ebay under three different accounts
>two of them are way overpriced
>one is priced to actually sell, 3x or more what I paid though
>always sells within an hour
>wait six months
>repeat the process
>finally list the last one for way too much, slowly lower the price until it sales

A lot of people do this but don't have any success because they get way too greedy. People will buy the stuff, but not for 10x the original price. You also have to pay attention to the market and not buy drops that won't return the $.

I do something similar, good on ya. I make good money selling nostalgia-bait bullshit on ebay.

I just go to the flea market and thrift stores to buy shit to resell. Good "side gig". Not replacement for a real full-time job but I'm not going to say no to an extra $10-20k/year.

I just thought it was a funny picture. The three categories I resell in most are probably action figures, blu-rays, and watches.

I used to do some Lego sets but everybody caught on and there's hundreds of listings now for any set and people aren't buying.
