Virgins are not considered human and losing it to a prostitute is considered cheating the test and doesn't grant you humanity. This is a test enforced by women and men who have courted them and so have an interest in remaining human at all costs. You have to court a woman or be a woman to be considered human, and women refuse to even look at me.
It doesn't matter what I think of myself in this context so I don't bring it up. Society grants you humanity, not yourself, and if society deems you non-human you are less than trash to them. I could assert myself completely, and society could still treat me without humanity, which is the cold reality of it. Humans are fundamentally social creatures, so without social approval we are no longer human. The loss of virginity is the threshold for social acceptance because even genuinely evil people get a pass to enter the human world if they lose their virginity. There is no amount of good one can do or purity one can reach to be considered human while still being a virgin.
