Most people take 1-2 items.

I go there every night and stock up on free tuna, rice, pasta, beans and sometimes the charity puts free money in a jar.

I have enough food to last a year now and 100 dollars.

You know, giving homeless people canned food might be counter intuitive since they need microwaves, pans, pots, sinks, burners to cook all the canned stuff and the raw materials they give at food banks. The food is already going to be thrown out so you're just stocking up on food that would be put to waste either way.
