95 to 05 is like an entirely different reality. We went from web 1.0 and VHS to Youtube and streaming. We went from SNES to Gamecube. From heavy metal to grunge to nu-metal to emo/scene. Toy Story to King Kong.

Every 2 years things would change pretty drastically.

Now I can't feel the difference between five years anymore. If it wasn't for AI literally nothing would have changed since 2015. Still have Trump. 4chan still sucks. Music and films are just random shit an algorithm feeds you. Everyone is still fractured and lonely. 2015 is still going strong.

a lot more people are perma-online post covid but thats about it. i think if i went back in time to 2015 it would still feel relatively normal at first glance.
