I think internet usage should be heavily restricted and monitored for anyone under the age of 18

Internet usage on the whole is extremely poisonous but likely won't ever go away. Even age restriction will more or less function as a means of restricting alternativenmedia access so that only state publicly funded propaganda is available during early socialization, while brain rot will continue to exist at home. I still think age banning certain kinds of websites will help a lot though.
