It's easy to say it feels great when you haven't tried much. The Gamesir Cyclone 2 and 8bitdo Ultimate 2C are my standard go-to's, or if you want the Playstation layout the Retro Fighters Defender is great too although it's probably better to wait for the Defender Pro releasing in January. Retro Fighters has really been stepping up their game, they used be shit but their new controllers are way better. My biggest issue with the Dualshock 3 is that it's the lightest of the Dualshock line and the parts feel really unpleasantly cheap plasticy. The divide line also really easily clogs up with dead skin which is nasty and annoying to have to clean out all the time. The Dualshock 2 felt way better built and better in the hands, but if you get one of those you'd need an adapter and would need to clean out the insides assuming it's a used one.
