Autism isn't the problem. Anti-autism is. If it wasn't for anti-autism the vast majority of autists would live normal lives, have jobs, and have a wife and kids. MTV created anti-autism with shows like Real World and their Spring Break specials. They told the kids at home "anyone who doesn't act like this is weird and deserves to be discriminated against". And Lifetime made for TV movies told white woman that autistic men are rapists and kidnappers by making them the bad guys.
