What would make it "true"?
For men, love is something we have to work hard to engineer. For women, love is something that lands on their doorstep. Neither is really reciprocating the other's notion of love (see pic related).
Even so, *some* men will give up their lives/reputation/physical wellbeing for a woman who has imprinted on them.
