i don't like him, he's mean and unfunny. i don't understand who would want to watch some guy being mean to financially irresponsible people. i don't get it.

i think it's funny how the channel is presented as educational advice to help people become more financially responsible; but it's actually just entertainment for people who want to laugh at financial retards, and feel superior.

sort of like a lot of the therapy, courtroom, and family drama talk-shows that were on cable TV. Presented as healing people; but really it's just a modern freakshow.

I understand that the appeal is basically the same as "Dr" Phil yelling at a child for being irresponsible. The audience joins in and says "how could they be that stupid?" And never looks in the mirror.
What I don't understand is why people go on the show. They're fans. They know what they'll receive. Every thumb nail is "this blue haired bitch broke me." At least tv fake doctors gave you something you could call free care. Here they get a budget that could've come from google.

There was a good balance between his snarkiness and actual advice in the early days before he found more bigly success but now he's really playing up the nasty comments (like this fat fuck has any right to criticize any else over a lack of discipline) because that's what his brand is now. Really reminds me a lot of the BBC produced Hell's Kitchen episodes, where Big Gordo was still a snarky cunt but he was legitimately trying to help failing businesses and get them to see they needed to fix some glaring issues if they wanted to survive and thrive, and the Fox produced Hell's Kitchen episodes where it was just screaming and trashy melodrama, because that's what the audience wanted.

a lot of the guests are dogshit people so there's some satisfaction in watching them get insulted, but some of them are perfectly fine and just have bad circumstances, but he still has to use clickbait titles like 'this scumbag narcissist is f*cked' with that stupid grimy filter and overly serious facial expression. i did find it really funny when he made the woman who just got divorced for asking her husband of 3 weeks for an open relationship cry

I like him though he can be a little mean at times. Its still funny, if he just toned it down like 10% and actually tried to help them become financially stable then it would be 50% better. As it is now I can only watch about 20 minutes of any given episode.
