I would dispute that
e.g., photography is a hobby. Standing by the railroad tracks photographing every train that comes by, hoping to get a shot of every single locomotive the railroad uses on that line, that's an autistic hobby.

i tried everything i mentioned, with gunpla i think i got too in to it before trying it out. i bought godhand clippers and RG as my first. I eneded up finishing it, but didnt enjoy it.

lately i've been feeling lonely enough that my hobbies were put on hold while i dumpster dive here looking for a chat with anyone nice enough to chat with me
but i usually like planning out builds in oxygen not included (or modifying existing ones) and collecting some stuff irl, like bottles and cans
i want to collect lava lamps one day

Genealogy is something I've gotten into in the past year or so. If you're a history buff, it's a neat hobby to get into.

For me, it's pc gaming, origami, and paper craft.
I don't have much money, so steam sales is my life saver, forgiving me some entertainment.
And for origami/paper craft is something I'd like to do once in a while when I get stressed out, I find it relaxing.

I also want to learn photography, but I never go outside. So I guess that's not gonna really happen.

As a hobby for adults, Sonic The Hedgehog is peak autism. For boys it's the ultimate sign of their fate. You're so goddamn stupid, you "le quirky" fake-autist normalshit

I like to think about country borders and ponder about "what could have been" had certain wars gone a different way or certain treaties had different terms. I will sometimes fire up EU4, use the console to arrange the map according to my vision and go "ah, that's nice" and quit the game without actually playing it.

I hate the idea of owning huge collections of things, I much prefer the idea of owning maybe one thing that I believe to be one of the best in its category. I don't like to consoom, I like to make the most use out of existing things. I like High-Intensity Discharge lamps.

I'm jealous of autists who are able to make meaningful connections with other people around their interests. I don't have anyone like that, mostly because I'm not a real autist, therefore I'm painfully aware of other people's lack of interest in my preferred subject matter, but also because I simply don't like to interact with people - especially autists.

I'm trying to get into anime fig painting, but I don't see how is this supposed to be "autistic" hobby. I'm in the process of getting tools needed. I'd like to get better at 3D modeling fir 3D orinting purposes, but gachas eat too much of my time. I'll have to drop some.

GF just bought me an autismcabinet to keep all my robots in. It's got shelf lights and everything. Now I need to finish painting my first custom colour one.
I also write, and used to play DnD but my last group fell apart and it's super hard to find people I feel comfortable being in character around. Plus I don't do that shit online. If you've ever wondered why /tg/ is so miserable, it's because they're all playing tabletop with people who AREN'T in punching distance. When the only consequence for derailing an entire campaign is having to close the tab, there's much less incentive for people to not do it.

RG probably isn't the best starting spot. There's a certain amount of tedium associated with putting it together, as fun as it is to watch all the parts slowly come together to make something. Your tolerance for it builds over time. I started with a HG and I probably wouldn't have liked it if an RG was my first. RG are still kinda less fun than just snapshitting a HG together in an afternoon.
