My highschool bully died in a car crash and I literally burst out laughing the moment someone told me. They looked at me like I was crazy but I legit hated that guy and he was responsible for a lot of mental problems I have.

Hearing he got launched from windshield and thrown like 50 feet and got sliced in half on a barrier literally made my week. I woke up optimistic and had a kick in my step the entire time.

My ex-friend in 8th grade yelled at me and called me annoying. Got hit and killed by a van 5 months later. Would use his death as an excuse to get out of discipline and homework. His sister was hot though

Couple guys I was in the service with. Two committed suicide and the other died in a car crash.

Didn't really know them that well, so I didn't really care that much, honestly.

My ex's friend that walked in on us fucking before and admitted he had a crush on me/wanted to "steal me away" killed himself during covid. Poor bastard didn't even get a funeral. I get why he did it- no gf, barely any friends, was super aggressive and hard to be around. He would always have a bad attitude even when I would cook extra food for him. He was really good at video games though I remember I couldn't get past a level in rayman legends and he did it in one try. Rest in peace Shaun

Apparently a kid that went to the same school with me hanged himself a few years ago but I don't know the details. Something to do with a girl maybe.

quite a few, but the one most in line with the spirt of op is that a guy who i turned down tried to date rape me, but he was unsuccessful, so he started fucking my mom and blew his brains out

Only once, my mom's friend's husband passed away from sudden death when i was 12. I didn't know him very well, probably only spoke to the guy maybe twice or so.

After I found out he died however, it shook me for atleast a month. I guess it's the thought that somebody I once knew in person is now either a pile of ashes in a glass jar or rotting underground forever.

The idea of death is still and always will be frightening to me, I don't even wanna think about how I'll cope when it happens to someone I'm close with.

One of my friends died after she had her baby. Postpartum cardio myopathy. Her widower gave a drunk sobbing explanation about how her heart never went back to normal, it kept working as if she was still pregnant and so it gave out.

I did a search for a different friend from a job I had quit, and turns out she and her baby were murdered.

Apart from like distant uncles and shit, I knew five guys around my age, two of them my former classmates, who had passed:

- Two committed neckrope,
- One drowned,
- One got hit by a car,
- One got like a heart attack or something because of a blood clot from an old injury.

I'm 31 if it matters any.

A girl I knew since middle school apparently was raped and murdered by some random guy. They still haven't caught him to this day...

It was crazy to me how something like that happened to someone I knew.

That happened to a fat slob I used to work with. He was on a motorcycle speeding and when we heard the next day we all laughed at work imagining that scene. If you're an asshole rest assured nobody is going to give a fuck when you die and people will laugh at you. Sure theres always performative phony fucks that'll say fake ass sentiments but nobody gives a shit for real.

My uncle died almost a year ago. It didn't affect me as much as it did for some others when I heard the news, but I do think about it fairly often.
