Why do people believe in flat earth? The truth is: they don’t. If you put a million dollars on the table and asked them to bet on it for or against flat earth, 100% of people will bet against flat earth, because they’d rather have the million dollars than their normal social rewards for pretending flat earth is real online. Social rewards are just the pleasure centers of your brain firing when someone agrees with / responds / pays attention to you which works online (although not as strongly as in-person).

The same applies to the position of Murata’s art being inferior to ONE’s. It’s absurd on its face and so obviously no one believes it, but people will pretend that it is online in order to repeat it to one another in a circle-jerk session because doing so feels good. If you put a million dollars on the table, not a single one of you would bet on the position of “ONE’s art is superior to Murata’s”. Now, since this is a purely a fantasy problem because God will not be the judge you will deny it because doing so feels good. However, you KNOW that I’m right, and you’ll go to bed tonight knowing that I’m right and that’s enough for me.
