I wonder if this ever got out would Ghibli films still be critically acclaimed in the West or would they be stripped of their Academy Award nominations and Disney’s distribution deal? Would Miyazaki’s films no longer be considered “normie anime” for the mainstream? I guess Battle Shonen is the sole normie genre that remains standing huh…?
